You may already know that I work for my living in Second Life. My typist (or benefactor, as my good friend Caliburn Susanto likes to call his shadowed supporter) does not fund my existence. Most of my income is derived from my work as a reporter for the Primgraph and Prim Perfect magazines, and creating burlesque acts for the New Champagne Rooms. Today I stumbled across another magazine that I might entertain notions of writing for: Role Magazine. I'm awaiting some clarification of their writer's guidelines and compensation right now.

My explorations of SL magazine news today also led me to a thoughtful article, prompted by the closing down of Runway Magazine. Leaving A Legacy talks about things we don't want to happen, but we should be realistic - nothing is forever, after all, and even more so in a virtual world. Sims come and go, friendships can end with the click of a button, everyone's situation and interests are up for grabs. As much as I am able, I enjoy living a 'stable' life, and have no plans to give up my Cafe property, my rental loft, my work at the New Champagne Rooms, or my writing projects. I am a 'keeper' personality. But I'm also a realist, and try to understand when the land beneath my high-prim shoes sometimes shifts.
